Apr - Garden 1Spring was certainly in the air at Our Gardening Club's recent Easter activities, and what better way to celebrate new life than with a hands-on demonstration of the wonderful world of bucket gardening!

We threw open our doors and welcomed families of all ages and gardening abilities to discover the simple joys of growing their own plants in buckets. Whether using the sturdy containers we provided at the front of the Centre or bringing along their own trusty (and even slightly leaky!) buckets, everyone had the chance to get their hands dirty and sow the seeds of future harvests.

Apr - Bucket GardeningOur enthusiastic team was on hand to guide budding gardeners through every step of the process. From demonstrating the best techniques for planting both vibrant plug plants and tiny, hopeful seeds, to offering expert advice on which plants thrive in bucket environments, no question went unanswered.

We planted several buckets, each one holding the promise of vibrant color for the front of the Centre. Hopefully, these freshly planted containers, a cheerful blend of flowers and budding vegetables, will flourish as a living showcase of the simple magic of bucket gardening, ready to inspire future demonstrations.

This event highlighted how accessible and rewarding gardening can be, even without a traditional garden space. It's  a fantastic solution for small areas, balconies, or anyone looking for a simple and fun way to grow their own.

Keep an eye out for updates on our bucket garden's progress and future events at Our Gardening Club! We're always excited to share the joy of gardening with our community!
